Christian Hauck Returns To Kitchener For Year 5

The Kitchener Panthers are happy to announce the return of starting pitcher, Christian Hauck (Waterloo, ON), for the 2023 season.

Hauck’s experience and leadership will be relied upon as the Panthers’ pitching staff looks to bounce back after a challenging 2022 season. The 25 year old will be suiting up for his 5th season with the Panthers and 7th in the IBL. Hauck has the most IBL experience on the pitching staff, having made 89 appearances (55 starts), and picking up 22 career wins with 321 strikeouts over his career.

Christian has a 17-10 record since joining the Panthers in 2018 with his strongest season coming in 2021 where he went 5-1 with a 3.60 ERA. He went 4-3 in 2022 with 67 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched.

Christian was a local OUA star while playing for Wilfred Laurier University, winning OUA championships in 2018 and 2019, being named a 1st team All-Star in 2016 and 2019, a 2nd team All-Star in 2018 and receiving the OUA Top Pitcher award in both 2016 and 2019. His career numbers were exceptional and he is considered to have had one of the best OUA pitching careers of all-time.

A fierce competitor and great teammate, Christian will look to lead a revamped Panthers roster to a deep run in the 2023 season.

Keep an eye out over the next month for announcements on new additions joining Christian on this year’s pitching staff.
