menuHAUCK TO PITCH IN FOURTH SEASON WITH PANTHERS
The Kitchener Panthers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of veteran pitcher, Christian Hauck for the 2022 season.
This will be Christian’s fourth season with the Panthers and sixth in the IBL. Last season, Christian picked up the career milestone of 250 IBL strikeouts and he looks primed to reach two more milestones this season; 20 wins, which he is 2 wins away from, and 300 innings pitched, which he is only 1 inning shy of. He will be coming off of a very strong 2021 season in which he set career bests in wins (5) and ERA (3.60) while striking out 40 batters and walking only 9.
A fierce competitor on the mound and a great teammate in the dugout, Hauck will once again be relied upon as a leader and crucial piece of the Panthers Pitching staff.
Christian was a local OUA star while playing for Wilfred Laurier University, winning OUA championships in 2018 and 2019, being named a 1st team All-Star in 2016 and 2019, a 2nd team All-Star in 2018 and receiving the OUA Top Pitcher award in both 2016 and 2019. His career numbers were exceptional and he is considered to have had one of the best OUA pitching careers of all-time.
Kitchener Field Manager, Don Menard, comments; “Christian is one of the top non import pitchers in the IBL and is a great competitor and true team leader. He gives you everything he’s got every time he steps on the mound and is a very dependable veteran in this league who I can rely on. He had great numbers last season and we are looking for him to continue that success”.
