The Kitchener Panthers are proud to announce that Outfielder, Jett Jarvis (Wyoming, ON), will be returning for the 2022 season.

The 19 year old Great Lakes Canadians product is currently attending McGill University where he is a member of the baseball program and is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree. The speedy Outfielder had an exceptional 2021 rookie season in the IBL, appearing in 26 regular season games and batting .286 with 26 hits, 25 runs scored, 13 RBI and 9 stolen bases. His 27 base on balls ranked 2nd in the league and boosted his On Base Percentage to .445, ranking 12th in the league.

With a great attitude, disciplined batting approach and standout athleticism, Jarvis projects to have a high ceiling for growth in his game and will be an important piece of the Panthers young core of players moving forward.

Mike Boehmer, Kitchener Panthers GM commented; “We welcome Jett Jarvis back for his 2nd Season with the Panthers. Jett Jarvis is part of what we feel is the best young outfield in the IBL. The McGill student and Great Lakes Canadians graduate used his speed and strong arm to play very well in the outfield and hit .286 last season while leading the Panthers in runs scored and walks”.

Don Menard, Kitchener Panthers Field Manager commented; “Jett was a main part of our rebuild last year and projects to be an important piece for us for years to come. He was only a 1st year junior age player and won our starting right fielder job in pre-season workouts. He started in 26 of 30 games while posting a .445 On Base Percentage while stealing 9 bases and only being caught once. He was one of the youngest players in the entire league and we see him having the potential to be an all-star calibre IBL player, to go along with our two returning young All-Star Outfielders (Leader and Jacklin). He’s also a great teammate and very dedicated to helping the team win however he can”.
