Jett Jarvis Returns For 3rd Season With Panthers
The Kitchener Panthers are excited to announce that Outfielder, Jett Jarvis (Wyoming, ON), will be returning for the 2023 season.
The 20 year old Great Lake Canadians product is a current member of the McGill University baseball team. In recognition of his strong collegiate season, Jett was named the 2022 McGill Baseball Team MVP.
The athletic Outfielder is off to an outstanding start to his young IBL career, having appeared in 60 career games over his first two seasons. In this time he’s picked up 70 hits, walked 42 times, scored 55 runs and has picked up 32 RBI.
In his 2021 rookie season, Jett showcased an impressive plate approach, ranking 2nd in the league with 27 walks in 26 games and 12th in the league with a .445 On Base Percentage.
He built upon this success in 2022, registering a .302 average on 40 hits, 9 of which went for extra bases, and 19 RBI in 30 games. He also hit .333 in the first round of the playoffs.
With a great attitude, disciplined batting approach and standout athleticism, Jarvis projects to have a high ceiling for growth in his game and will be an important piece of the Panthers young core of players moving forward.
Panthers GM Mike Boehmer comments “ we are pleased to welcome back Jett Jarvis, for his 3rd season with the Panthers. Jett is a graduate of the Great Lake Canadians Baseball Program, and is a student athlete at McGill University, where he recently was awarded the McGill Baseball Team MVP. Jett brings speed, excellent outfield defence, a strong arm, and hit .303 in 30 games with the Panthers last season. We expect 2023 to be a strong season for Jett.”
