Six Cuban Kitchener Panthers will compete in the Cuban National Series Baseball Championship, which features the Camaguey Bulls against the Matanzas Crocodiles.

Camaguey is led by the Kitchener Panthers All Star shortstop, Yorbis Borroto, who had an outstanding Semi-Final series in leading Camaguey over the Industriales.

In game 1, with 55,000 fans jammed into Havana’s Estadio Latinoamericano, and 20,000 outside the stadium who could not get in, Borroto was the catalyst in leading Camaguey to a 9-8 win. In the deciding game 3, Borroto went 2 for 3, with a double and a triple and drove in the winning run in Camaguey’s 3-2 win, with a sacrifice fly in the 7th in front of a stadium that was full 6 hours before game time, with thousands outside the ballpark. Panthers' Yuen Socarras is on the Camaguey roster, but is injured. Matanzas Crocodiles have 4 Cuban Panthers on their pitching staff.

In game 1 of their Semi-Final Series against the defending Champion Las Tunas Woodcutters, Panthers Yoennis Yera, Jonder Martinez and Miguel Lahera all saw action.

In game 3, Noelvis Entenza pitched 5+ innings, giving up only an unearned run and getting the win.

Yoennis Yera started the deciding game 4, getting the win, and pitching the Matanzas Crocodiles into the Cuban Baseball Finals, after which a huge celebration took place amongst the people of Matanzas. Miguel Lahera pitched a 3 up 3 down 9th
