PANTHERS' OFFENCE COMES ALIVE IN WIN OVER ERROR-PRONE RED SOX

KITCHENER -- The Kitchener Panthers pounded out 16 hits and took advantage of eight Brantford errors to beat the Red Sox 17-5 Friday night at Jack Couch Park.
Blake Jacklin went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and four runs at the bottom of the Panthers' lineup. AJ Karosas and Liam Wilson each had two hits and an RBI, Carter Arbuthnot singled twice and drove in two, Lucas Diluca went 2-for-5 with a run, Keegan Marsden singled, doubled and scored twice, and Nick Parsons walked and scored three times apiece.
Matt Stoddart (2-0) struck out four in five innings of relief to pick up the win. He allowed a run on one hit with a walk. Michael Mommersteeg started and gave up four runs on four hits over two innings. He walked four and didn't register a strikeout.
Kitchener improved to 7-3.
Nick Davies (1-2) took the loss for Brantford (4-9). He was touched for seven runs on six hits in 1.2 innings, walking five and striking out one.
Offensively, Matthew Pilarczyk and Nick Burdett drove in Brantford's runs. Colton Fountain went 2-for-3 with two runs, and Ricky Murray singled twice.
