Panthers Sign Infielders Evyn Sherman and Drey Sloat for the 2021 Season

Kitchener, Ontario - The Kitchener Panthers are pleased to announce the signing of infielders Evyn Sherman and Drey Sloat for the IBL 2021 Season.

Evyn Sherman attended Macomb Community College (NJCAA Division 2) and transferred to Wilfred Laurier University and completed a bachelor’s degree in History and Political science. Evyn played shortstop for the OUA Champion Golden Hawks in 2019.

Drey Sloat is in his fourth year at Wilfred Laurier University pursuing both a bachelor’s degree in sociology and geography with a minor in criminology. Drey was a member of the Golden Hawks OUA Championship teams. In 2019, he won the Silver Slugger Award with a .454 BA, .589 OBP and 26 RBI’s.

The Kitchener Panthers are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 102-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
