Panthers sign lefty Pedro De Los Santos

KITCHENER - Pedro De Los Santos is a Kitchener Panther.

The team has signed the former New York Mets farmhand, bringing with him plenty of big game experience in the Intercounty Baseball League.

The lefty has played six seasons, split between Toronto and London. He won IBL championships in 2021 and 2022 with the Majors.

De Los Santos sports a career 5.12 ERA in 318.1 innings of work, and has an excellent strikeout to walk ratio. He has 323 punchouts, compared to 172 free passes.

De Los Santos has also competed internationally for his native Dominican Republic.

“De Los Santos will join our starting rotation, and we feel that the experienced southpaw will give stability to our pitching staff,” said general manager Mike Boehmer.
