Panthers Struggle in Hamilton

The Kitchener Panthers struggled to get much going offensively on Friday evening, registering only four hits and one run in a 5-1 loss to the Hamilton Cardinals at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium.

Jacob Gajic (2-0) picked up the win in relief after tossing three scoreless, hitless innings for the Cardinals. Christian Hauck (2-1) took the loss, giving up five runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out four and didn’t walk a batter.

Offensively, Justin Gideon went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Cardinals while Andy Leader had 2 hits for the Panthers.

Looking Ahead

The Panthers are on the road for their 3rd away game of the week, heading to Welland to take on the Jackfish for a Sunday afternoon contest.
