Rain outs to be played Monday, Tuesday

KITCHENER - It seems mother nature wanted to rain on the parade of a hot finish to the Intercounty Baseball League season.

But with the faucets of the sky seemingly turning off for the work week, the Kitchener Panthers have a pair of games left to play that were rained out over the last couple days.

After last Friday's game in Hamilton was postponed due to rain, the Cardinals have rescheduled that game to Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7:35 p.m. at Bernie Arbour Stadium.

Sunday's home game against London has been pushed up 24 hours, and will now be contested Monday, Aug. 19 at Jack Couch Park at 7:30 p.m.

Kitchener sits two games up on Brantford for the final playoff spot.

The Panthers are coming off a 10-1 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday night.
