Stratford Native Keegan Marsden Returns for 2023

The Kitchener Panthers are pleased to announce the re-signing of IBL veteran, Keegan Marsden (Stratford, ON), for his fifth season with Kitchener and sixth season in the IBL.

The 27 year old Infielder is coming off of a 2022 season in which he recorded 38 hits in 38 games including 9 doubles, 5 home runs and 32 RBI. His home runs, hits and 24 runs scored all tied career highs.

The 200 games and 200 hits milestones are both within striking distance for Marsden in 2023 as he enters the season having recorded 172 hits in his 181 games played.

A resident of Stratford and an alumnus of the Ontario Nationals Baseball Club, Marsden spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at NJCAA Kalamazoo Valley Community College (Kalamazoo, MI) where he was a two time All-Conference Academic Award recipient and an All-Conference honourable mention once. He then transferred to NCAA D2, Goldey Beacom College (Wilmington, DE), for his final two years of eligibility. In two seasons, Marsden recorded 88 hits, 73 runs scored, 11 home runs, 48 RBI and a .416 OBP. He was a 2nd Team All-Conference selection in his 2018 Senior season, hitting .307 with 6 home runs and 32 RBI.

The consistency, positive attitude and leadership Marsden provides to the club will be leaned upon once again this season as a revamped Panthers roster will look to make a deep playoff run in 2023.
