Panthers-Jackfish playoff schedule released

KITCHENER - The release of the first round playoff schedule shows it'll be a busy week for the Kitchener Panthers.

Kitchener's five-game schedule against the Welland Jackfish is out, and will see the first three games played on consecutive days, beginning Thursday in Welland.

Games 4 and 5, if necessary, will happen Tuesday and Thursday of next week.

Kitchener clinched the eighth and final playoff spot after Brantford's loss to Guelph Sunday.

The final two regular season games - happening Monday and Tuesday against London and Hamilton respectively - will be an opportunity for the Panthers to tune up and get everyone still in need of qualifying innings, outings and plate appearances in before the postseason begins 48 hours later.
